The Strings of Fate

What’s the point of destiny? All I ever wanted to do was help people. To heal instead of harm, like my mother, a general in the Kingdom of Earth. Some would even say the greatest general. And then there’s me, her daughter. The one child of the greatest general of the known worlds and protector of the Queen of Earth, who wants to be a healer.Life was strange. I had a warrior’s blood and a healer’s heart. Destiny, or rather fate, was cruel like that. Because of my mother’s blood, I was destined to follow in her footsteps or else…Many things were predetermined by the strings of fate. Your grades, your love life, and your future. Every little thing was meticulously planned out till your very last breath. Yet when the ceremony of fate proclaims me a fighter for all to see, my heart yearns for something else. I wish to be a part of the healers. To travel the world with my friends and fix the destruction and mayhem the fighters create. But no one questions their fate. Why should I?
